Great Western Railway joins West Midlands Railway in announcing increases in trains for students and pupils returning to school. Great Western Railway has announced that it will increase train services as schools and colleges prepare to return. GWR reduced the number of train services when the third lockdown was introduced in January.
The operator has reviewed its database of ‘school trains’, which have a large amount of students using the services, and has made sure these are reinstated for Monday 8th March.
Advice and guidance will be available for students, with extra staff in place.
This increase in services means Great Western Railway is returning to around 70% of its pre-covid timetable, with a further increase planned for Monday 29th March 2021
